This webinar will cover developments affecting elder justice nationally and in California. Topics will include the Elder Justice Act, the Older Americans Act, Victims of Crime Act, the Social Services Block grants, the “Fiduciary Rule” that holds financial services providers accountable, and more.
Bob Blancato is the President of Matz, Blancato and Associates, the National Coordinator of the bipartisan 3000-member Elder Justice Coalition and serves as the Chair of the Board of the American Society on Aging. He also serves on the boards of AARP and the National Council on Aging. He was recently selected by Next Avenue as a 2016 Influencer in Aging and is a contributing blogger to the Huffington Post and Next Avenue.
Meredith Ponder Whitmire is the Senior Associate at Matz, Blancato and Associates and the Federal Policy and Media Coordinator for the Elder Justice Coalition. She provides policy analysis and direction for and advocates on behalf of a wide variety of aging topics, including elder justice, nutrition, and community-based services.
