Jane Perkins, LAAC-member and Legal Director at the National Health Law Program along with Lisa Greenman, Attorney for the Federal Death Penalty Resource Counsel, have been chosen by The National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA) to receive the 2015 Kutak-Dodds Prizes.
The pair will be honored at the NLADA Exemplar Award Dinner on Thursday, September 29, 2016. The Kutak-Dodds prizes acknowledges immense contributions in the continuous efforts of “advancing access to justice in both civil legal aid and public defense.”
Perkins has been with the National Health Law Program for over 30 years. She is being recognized for her efforts in litigation and advocacy on behalf of low-income individuals, those with disabilities, and children within all 50 states. Perkins is also a Senior Attorney with the Southeast Region of the Network for Pubilc Health Law.
NLADA President & CEO Jo-Ann Wallace reflected, “This year’s nominees showed us that our legal field is teeming with lawyers tenacious about justice, advocacy, and maintaining a fair and just legal system.”
