Edward Biggs, owner of the Audiss RV Park, is selling the land to Urban Community Partners for market-rate townhouse development. About a dozen mobile home tenants will have to find a new place to live.
David Levin, staff attorney with Bay Area Legal Aid, is now assisting the tenants and eventually helped ensure that they could stay past July 1. Last week, Edward Biggs’ attorney Margaret Nanda, sent a letter stating that the move-out deadline would be extended until August 13 — which is much sooner than what was originally promised. Biggs has refused to submit a mandated “resident impact report” outlining where the mobile home tenants might be able to move to. Sean Moss, senior planner for the city, said that the developer, Urban Community Partners, would submit a separate impact report.Tags: Housing: Eviction
